Hello Class,
Literature has always been a victory/defeat to me throughout my life. My mom was an English Major who was always strict about my grammar and punctuation. I have felt it to be second nature to spell well and to write creatively, but at the same time was I defeated by my complacency and lack of desire to magnify my English and Literature skills. After reading the intense and thorough syllabus, I am finding this class as a "saving grace" to my lethargic demeanor when it comes to improving my skills. I graduated from High School in 2004 and am pursuing a Business Admin. degree. I am not an avid reader. In fact, the last book I fully read was Angels and Demons by the Author Dan Brown. Adventure and conspiracy intrigue me, but I have to push myself pretty hard to get the momentum going. Hopefully this class will help me with that desire.
